In its annual report on sustainability, Wal-Mart Stores said it is on track in many areas but has not reached a goal of doubling U.S. sales of energy-efficient products compared with 2008 or reducing phosphate in detergent by 70% compared with 2009. "Understandably, in some areas our progress is slower than we would like, and sometimes we hit temporary roadblocks," said CEO Mike Duke.
